Wegovy is straightforward to use, with each weekly dose administered by injection just underneath the skin.
Wegovy should be used at the same time each week.
The best place on the body to administer your Wegovy injection is on your stomach (abdomen), the thigh and also the upper arm.
When beginning your Wegovy treatment, the initial dose begins at 0.25mg. This then increases weekly as you progress on your Wegovy treatment plan. The following video explains in detail how to increase your dose as you progress through the dosing schedule.

The most common reason for pen malfunctions is incorrect usage. If you have followed the step-by-step guide on proper pen usage and find that it is still not working, please contact our team for assistance.
Wegovy is administered through a weekly subcutaneous injection. Wegovy is administered through a weekly subcutaneous injection. Choose upper arms, stomach or upper legs (keep a 5 cm distance from your belly button). It's important not to inject into a vein or muscle. Unfortunately, we cannot put a guarantee on how much you might lose. Due to the wide variety of factors involved, from genetics to environmental factors, we don’t like giving a set amount that “should” be lost. However, we can refer you to the original study, carried out by the manufacturer - over 80% of people combining Wegovy with diet and exercise lost at least 5% of their body weight.
Wegovy comes as an injectable pen. Simply open the cap and press the needle into your skin, normally in your upper arm, abdomen or thigh. Each pen comes with a pre-set dose, with enough medication for 4 weekly doses.
Wegovy does have some requirements before it can be prescribed. Under normal circumstances, Wegovy is only prescribed to people who have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of over 30. It can also be prescribed to those with a BMI over 27, and a weight-related health condition.
Wegovy cannot be prescribed if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
